"The work of the Belgian Field Hospital since its establishment at Antwerp early in September and its removal, under the greatest difficulties during the bombardment to Furnes close behind the fighting line is described in the following pages" (preface by Lord Sydenham of Combe, president of the Hospital). Also contains full listings of the staff, both at Antwerp and Furnes, from the commandant J. Hartnell Beavis and surgeon in chief, Henry Sessions Souttar, down to the nurses, ambulance drivers, and kitchen staff; and reprints letters of commendation from Her Majesty the Queen of the Belgians, the president of the Belgian Red Cross, and Charles de Broqueville, Belgian prime minister and minister for war.

Condition
Just a little rubbed, front wrap slightly creased at the top corner, staples rusting but only minor staining from them, overall very good indeed.
