Signed limited edition, deluxe issue, one of 100 copies specially bound and signed by the author, from a total edition of 400 copies. The publisher's copy, marked as such and signed by the author "Thanks Herb, John" to the limitation page in red ink. Herb Yellin (1935-2014) was a publisher and founder of the Lord John Press, who published handsome signed limited editions for a number of high-profile authors, including Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, and Ursula Le Guin.

Sections of Updike's short story were previously published in The New Yorker and the Transatlantic Review in 1971 and 1974 respectively, but the Lord John Press was the first to publish the story in its entirety.
