Notes

First edition, first impression. "This is an imaginary story of how the Great War was brought to an end by an overwhelming Allied victory in the year 1917 although many of the events are wildly improbable and could hardly stand detailed criticism, there is considerable military knowledge as well as imagination in the plot" (Falls). The publisher's retained copy with their stamp to the front panel of the dust jacket, the front pastedown and the title page. Scarce in the dust jacket.
