First edition, number 8 of 75 specially bound copies, from an edition of 750. Plarr (1863-1929), a poet and librarian, was pictured by Ezra Pound as Monsieur Verog "Among the pickled foetuses and bottled bones" in his poem Hugh Selwyn Mauberley (Pound, 202) (cited by ODNB).
