The Olympic limited edition, number 6 of 50 sets only. Copy number 1 was presented to the Keats-Shelley House in Rome. The effort to purchase and restore the apartment in which Keats spent his final days began in 1903, at the instigation of American poet Robert Underwood Johnson. In April 1909 it was opened under the aegis of the newly formed Keats-Shelley Memorial Association. A particularly handsome and lavish set.Description
8 volumes, octavo (226 x 152 mm). Publisher's green half morocco binding, titles and floral decoration to spines in gilt, raised bands, marbled sides and endpapers, top edges gilt, others untrimmed.

Frontispieces in two states to each volume, publisher's device to title page in gilt, 4 plates printed in two states on vellum paper with tissue guards printed in red.
Condition
Spines and sides of vols. 1-4 sunned to brown, else in excellent condition. A very good set.
