20 volumes, octavo. Original elephant-grain leather, spines lettered in gilt between two pairs of raised bands, front covers with painted and inlaid coat-of-arms, doublures with original hand-painted panel, satin endpapers, all edges gilt.
With 80 plates with captioned tissue-guards, each in 3 states: colour, uncoloured, and sepia; colour designs in the text throughout.
