Two print variants have been noted, although with no priority given: the first with the dedication bound in the prelims at p. 7, as here, the second with it bound at p. 233.

Photographic frontispiece portrait of Linton and 7 illustrations in the text, 6 of which are full-page.
A couple of small marks to spine joints, minor rubbing to spine ends, tiny spot of foxing to spine, else cloth notably bright, contents fresh, a very good copy indeed in the jacket with a little soiling, slight nicks to spine ends and tips, trace of tape repair to verso, sometime removed.
