Anne Anderson (1874-1952) was a prolific Scottish illustrator, primarily known for her art nouveau children's book illustrations.
3 parts in one volume, quarto. Publisher's red buckram, titles and pictorial designs in gilt to spine and front board. With the dust jacket, with onlay of colour illustration to front panel.
Title vignette, colour frontispiece and 15 similar plates, 20 full-page line-drawings and numerous similar in-text illustrations.
Contemporary ink ownership inscription of Lucille Edwards to front free endpaper. A little bowed, gentle wear and bumping to extremities, lightly foxed. A very good copy indeed, in the fair dust jacket, edges partly broken with loss, a few closed tears, some creasing, tape repairs to verso of front panel and flap. A rare survival in jacket.
