Title page printed in red and black, wood-engraved half-title and 9 similar headpieces by V. le Campion, 9 engraved maps to rear by T. Poulton of which 7 double-page.
Gift inscription to second blank verso from bookseller and ABA president Alan G. Thomas (1911-1992) to his friend David Tarplett, dated 1977; loosely inserted are two letters from Thomas gifting this copy, and a postcard. A little staining and darkening to cloth, spine a little spotted and faded, though not as extensively as usually encountered, contents fresh and clean. A very good copy indeed.
