Notes

Library edition, number 701. "There is no comprehensive history of America from the discovery to the present time." - Professor Hart (Harvard University) 1896. This scholarly work, written by various authors and edited by Lee, was designed to provide a comprehensive history, covering every aspect of North America: from the Discovery to the Constitution. It also includes sections on the American Indians, the Colonising of the South and the Civil War. With superb printing and illustrations this makes it one the finest sets of its type to be produced around the turn of the century.
