2 volumes, octavo (210 x 134 mm). Bound by Mudie in contemporary red half morocco, titles and elaborate tooling to spines gilt, raised bands, marbled boards, endpapers and edges.
Bookplate to front pastedowns, commemorative "Charles Dickens" postage stamp pasted to the front free endpapers, coloured illustration supplied from another edition pasted to the verso of front free endpapers, black and white illustration pasted to the binder's front blanks, the occasional minor blemish, board and edges a little rubbed. A very good copy.
