Notes

First edition of this uncommon life of Bonaparte; as advertised at the end of vol. II, "the proprietors propose publishing a Third Volume", and this was added in 1815. It was reissued in an unillustrated edition by a different group of booksellers in that year as History of Napoleon Bonaparte, the author given as W. B. Heweston (although his name is sometimes transcribed as Hewetson).
