The Mystery of Angelina Frood.London: Hodder and Stoughton, Stock Code: 86495
Second edition. Presentation copy inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Colonel W. Lawrence Gadd, with cordial greetings from his old friend, the author, R. Austin Freeman, 11th December 1939". Gadd was a Dickensian scholar and one of the authors of A Dickens Dictionary. He was quoted in the early Freeman biography In Search of Dr. Thorndyke.
Octavo. Original red cloth, titles to spine and front board in black.
Spine and edges of boards faded, spotting to edges of text block and early and late leaves, small spot of dampstain to upper board also affecting front pastedown, free endpapers tanned. A very good copy.
