A handsome, uniformly bound setA lovely set, handsomely bound. The first six volumes were published as part of "Bohn's British Classics"; the seventh, Robinson Crusoe, was published by Bohn in a similar format seven years later.
7 volumes, octavo (184 x 116 mm). Uniformly bound by Riviere and Son in late 19th-century green half calf, green cloth sides, spines lettered in gilt, compartments decorated in gilt with five raised bands, covers ruled in gilt, top edges gilt, marbled endpapers.
Engraved frontispiece to vol. I with tissue guard, illustrations in the text of Robinson Crusoe.
Very minor rubbing to tips, contents clean and free from marks. A lovely set.
