The People's Palace.Oxford: B. H. Blackwell, 1918 Stock Code: 106692
First and sole edition of Sitwell's first book, a slim collection of fourteen poems, a few of which had appeared in the modernist anthology Wheels. It went largely unnoticed by the critics, with the exception of Aldous Huxley, who "dubbed its author le Rimbaud de nos jours" (Cevasco, p. 37).
Octavo. Original brown-orange wrappers, printed labels to spine and front wrapper.
Engraved title page and frontispiece.
Wrappers lightly creased and nicked, label to front wrapper slightly foxed. An excellent copy.
