Notes

First edition, in the attractive art nouveau style binding designed by William Henry Bradley. Referred to as the "Dean of American Designers" by the Saturday Evening Post, Bradley's illustrative art nouveau style was heavily influenced by Japanese block printing and the Arts and Crafts Movement (1880-1910). He was the highest paid artist of the early 20th century and remained an important figure in the graphic arts world until his death in 1962.
