The novels explore the history of the First World War by focusing on the aftermath of trauma and are based on the writings of First World War poets. In 1995 the final book in the trilogy, The Ghost Road, won the Booker-McConnell Prize.

Condition
Spine ends gently bumped, the bindings otherwise sharp, internally crisp. A near-fine set in bright jackets, not price-clipped.
