First edition, first impression, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "To Betty Askwith, with the author's compliments, P. G. Wodehouse June 1927". It is rare to find a signed or inscribed copy. The Small Bachelor was based upon a book that Wodehouse and Guy Bolton wrote for the musical Oh, Lady! Lady!, which premiered in Albany, New York on 7 January 1918.
