First edition, first impression, small paper issue. A scarce title, especially so in the dust jacket. It was largely on the basis of this work that Langley was selected as a screenwriter for The Wizard of Oz (1939).

Minor sunning to spine ends, some faint foxing to contents, else a very good copy in the price-clipped dust jacket, some faint foxing, spine panel sunned and chipped at ends, some faint soiling to panels with short closed tear at head of rear panel, short split at head of rear flap fold.
