NotesFirst edition, first impression, of Yeats's follow-up collection to The Tower, containing some of his best, and most difficult, poems, such as Blood and the Moon, A Dialogue of Self and Soul, Vacillation, and, of course, Byzantium, and thus full of "those images that yet / fresh images beget; / that dolphin-torn, and gong tormented sea". A smaller collection, notably lacking the famous "Byzantium" among others, under the same title (but without "and Other Poems") had been printed in New York in 1929.
