A handsomely bound copy of Wilde's works, first published thus as the New Collected Edition in 1948.
Octavo (210 x 140 mm). Finely bound by Bayntun-Riviere (Bath) in purple polished calf, orange morocco title label to spine, elaborate gilt foliate compartments, raised bands tooled in gilt, gilt double ruled borders to covers, board edges and turn-ins tooled in gilt, marbled endpapers, edges gilt. With two postcards from Ascott laid-in.
With a black and white portrait frontispiece, from the painting of Wilde by Toulouse-Lautrec, 1895.
Two postcards from Ascott loosely inserted. Spine sunned, a few trivial scratches. A very good copy indeed.
