Notes

First edition thus, bringing together Buxton Forman's 1876-7 edition of Shelley's Poetical works and his 1880 edition of Shelley's Prose works. Buxton Forman, the notorious bibliographical forger, nevertheless "produced impressive editions of Shelley and Keats... by channelling a general enthusiasm into a minute study of textual details, for which his careful and exacting temperament was ideally suited" (ODNB). Complete sets of this edition are notably uncommon.
