20 volumes, octavo (220 x 147 mm). Attractively bound in recent dark green morocco, raised bands, titles and tools to compartments gilt, floral frames to boards gilt, top edges gilt, other untrimmed, marbled endpapers.
Illustrations
With a fold out map of Concord, reproductions of Thoreau's journal illustrations, and over 100 tissue-guarded photogravures, some of which are hand-coloured.
Condition
Mild toning to margins of text blocks, otherwise a fine set.
