Published nine years after Bierce's disappearance, Loveman's brief selection of their letters offers itself as the first of many deserved biographies and critical essays.
Small octavo. Original blue paper backed boards, white title label to front, some pages uncut, foredge untrimmed.
Spine faded and base of spine worn, some water stains to bottom of rear board and head of spine. A very good copy, occasionally bumped, but with bright, unmarked pages, free from offsetting.
