NotesFourth edition, two years after the first. Account of an expedition undertaken by the noted American zoologist, conservationist, and taxidermist. He was sent to Asia by naturalist and collector Henry Augustus Ward, who founded specimen suppliers Ward's Natural Science, now Ward's Science. Hornaday became the first director of the New York Zoological Park, today the Bronx Zoo. Account contains a lengthy section on the Dyaks, accompanied by an excellent coloured ethnographical map of the distribution of the tribes.
Octavo (207 x 138 mm). Neatly rebound in moderate blue buckram, title gilt to the spine, edges lightly sprinkled in red.
