Typed letter signed, regarding an article.c.1970 Stock Code: 141432
Typed letter signed from the Canadian writer and environmentalist Farley Moway, to the journalist Ray Gardner (1919-1997), journalist and editor at the Toronto Star, in the aftermath of a commissioned article falling through: "Dear Ray, It is so embarrassing to watch an editor being embarrassed. Lets not make ourselves suffer so. Anyway. I didn't really think it would work either. Which is probably why it took me so long to come to grips with it... If you haven't sent the cheque, hang on to it. I would rather try and sell the piece elsewhere. If it is totally unsaleable, then I shall be happy to accept your salvage fee. I hate accepting payment for things that aren't used, but I much appreciate the offer being made and, who knows, the price of rum being what it is, I may have to trim my sheets. Cheers, Farley".
Single sheet (278 x 215 mm).
Slight creases, single nick; in very good condition.
