The two works by Launhardt, a civil engineer who worked on the construction of transport infrastructures in Germany, concern the profitability of roads and gradient conditions. Petrlik, a professor of engineering at the Prague Hochschule, writes on road rolling as a means of conserving roads and achieving savings. The two works by Leuchs and Meyn are on the use of asphalt in road construction.

5 works bound in 1 volume, octavo. Late 19th-century dark purple hard-grain cloth, bland-stamped on sides, spine lettered and numbered in gilt, marbled edges, drab brown endpapers.
Condition
Some browning and occasional light foxing.
