First edition, first impression. With the author's signed presentation inscription to the title page, "To Arthur with all the best from Eric". A letter from Ambler sending this book to the previous owner of this copy relates, "This first edition copy of Uncommon Danger was the one I gave to my stepfather Arthur Waters, when it was first published. It was among my mother's books when she died and was retrieved by my sister." Uncommon in the dust jacket especially so inscribed.

Octavo. Original blue cloth, titles to spine and front board in black. With the supplied dust jacket. Housed in a blue quarter morocco solander box.
Condition
Spine rolled and faded, cloth rubbed at edges with some small wear to the joints. A very good copy in the rubbed and creased jacket with with some small chips and several short tears.
