First edition in book form, first impression. Under Milk Wood was originally commissioned as a radio drama by the BBC, and was first broadcast on 25 January 1954. It was originally printed in the magazine Mademoiselle in their February 1954 issue. The posthumously published work has since become one of Thomas's best known.
