Dehio (1850-1932) was born in Reval, now Talinn, Estonia, he was the founder of the Handbuch der deutschen Kunstgeschichte, still publishing to this day. In the present work he sets out his theory of the equilateral triangle as the proportional basis of Gothic architecture. Uncommon, 5 copies only on Library Hub - BL, Oxford, V & A, Warburg, and Society of Antiquaries. Bookplate of the art historian Karl Birkmeyer to the front pastedown, a few pencilled marginalia in German.
