Al Parke has also inscribed on the front free endpaper: "This book was produced to establish interstate traffic and use of the Disney characters in Pinocchio, then in production. Thus forestall and protect against infringement when picture did go on the market." This book records the development of characters and basic story of Disney's second feature-length animated movie.
