"This is the first edition in the world of Tu Fu to be printed outside China, likewise it is the first edition of any one individual Chinese poet." (Foreword). Tu Fu, or Du Fu, who lived in the 8th century, during the Tang dynasty, is generally considered to be one of the greatest Chinese poets.
