First edition of this collection of the Nobel Literature Prize-winner's verse. Presentation set, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper of each volume: "To J. A. C. Greppin, Czeslaw Milosz"; and with the recipient's neat ownership stamp at the foot of the page, which reveals that he was part of the Program of Linguistics at Cleveland State University; Greppin was also the co-author of A Handbook of Armenian Dialectology (1999). Each volume also carries the neat ownership inscription in the gutter of the title page: "Pisowicz", almost certainly the Polish linguist Andrzej Pisowicz (b. 1940), an authority on Armenian and Iranian languages.
3 volumes, octavo. Original white cloth, spines and front covers lettered in brown, pictorial stamp in brown on front covers. With the dust jackets.
Three are a couple of pencilled (authorial ?) corrections in volume II. Jacket spines sunned, front panel of volume III patchily faded, foxing to top edges. A very good set.
