Window Dressing for Tailors Outfitters etc.London, The Tailor and Cutter Ltd., 1932 Stock Code: 140920
NotesFirst and only edition, in notably bright condition, of this unusual and highly attractive period guide to commercial display for gentlemen's outfitters. The second section offers analysis of examples drawn from high-end retailers, and includes photographs of displays in situ at such as Austin Reed in Regent Street, Harrod's in Brompton Road and Knightsbridge, Sulka in Bond Street, Hawke's in Savile Row, and Moss Bros. on Covent Garden.
Quarto. Original moderate blue sand-grain cloth, title gilt to the front board with attractive stylised floral devices.
64-pages on art paper, illustrated throughout with 30 model examples of displays.
Pale sunning to the spine and front board, barely rubbed, else a beautifully preserved copy, very good indeed.
