Women In Love.New York, [but issued in London, Martin Secker,] 1920 Stock Code: 124407
NotesFirst edition, UK issue, being one of 50 numbered copies signed by the author. Martin Secker bought 50 sets of sheets from the 1,250 copies printed for the true first American edition, and bound them very much in the Secker style, though the publisher's name does not appear anywhere in the book. This is the first signed limited issue, as the US copies were not issued signed. The regular trade edition did not appear in England for another year.
Octavo. Original brown cloth, titles to spine gilt, top edge brown. Housed in a brown quarter morocco solander box by the Chelsea Bindery.
Ends and corners lightly rubbed, cloth faintly marked and bubbled in places, internally sound and clean, a very good copy.
