First edition, signed limited issue of 350 copies, signed by the author on the colophon. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title, "For Benjamin Boshes, with best wishes, Thomas Kinsella". The recipient was Doctor Benjamin Boshes, chairman emeritus of the neurology department at Northwestern University Medical School. During the Second World War he was credited with discovering the mechanism by which pilots of dive bombers ''blacked out'' and devised a method by which the fliers could be protected as they lost altitude rapidly. This copy additionally with a laid in note from Eleanor Kinsella discussing her myasthenia medication.
